Bolton have beaten off competition from Manchester City to sign Oman keeper Ali Al-Habsi.
The Trotters have been locked in a battle with City for the Lyn man and it is Sam Allardyce who has won the race for the keeper's signature.
The 23-year-old has signed a pre-contract and will move to Bolton in January.
"My dream has finally come true," Al-Habsi told footballasia.com of his move to Bolton.
"It is an achievement I have always dreamt of and I am ready to join Bolton.
"I promised my fans that I would move to the English Premier League and now it has come true."
Al-Habsi is likely to have to play second fiddle to Jussi Jaaskelainen, but is determined to press his claims for a regular start at The Reebok Stadium.
"My ambition is to be Bolton's first choice," he added
"This move will give my career a big push forward. It is a great thing because the Premier League is the best in the world."
Allardyce has expressed delight at landing the highly-rated keeper.
"It is very satisfying to finally sign Ali," Allardyce told the club's website. "We've been monitoring his development for quite some time and I am delighted that he has selected us ahead of a number of other high profile clubs who were keen to sign him.
"Ali has a massive presence in front of goal and will add much needed competition in a key area for us.
"He aspires to be a great keeper in The Premiership and we'll certainly give him the platform he needs to become a respected player in the best league in the world."
Everton manager David Moyes has confirmed he is hoping to make a double swoop on Valencia.
The Toffees boss is determined to land Mohamed Sissoko and Emiliano Moretti to boost his squad ahead of the UEFA Champions League qualifiers.
"I can confirm we are trying to bring them both to Everton," Moyes told Everton's official website.
"I don't want to say much more than that but I am hoping to conclude both deals quickly."
Sissoko, who was formerly with Auxerre, represented Mali in the Olympic Games and is a 20-year-old forward with plenty of potential.
Defender Moretti also represented his country in Athens last year with the Italian left back signing a five-year contract when joining Valencia in 2004.
However, things have not really worked out for him at La Mestalla and a move could be on the cards.

West Brom have completed the £1.5 million signing of Birmingham midfielder Darren Carter.
The combative youngster has penned a three-year deal at The Hawthorns after concurring on personal terms with Baggies chief Bryan Robson.
Birmingham could receive a further £250,000 depending on appearances and the success of West Brom in the future.
Robson has spoken of his delight at landing a player who he believes can make a real impression in The Premiership next term.
"I'm really pleased we've added Darren to the squad because he is a very promising youngster who has a big future ahead of him,'' Robson told the club's official website.
"He has very good stamina and is very much a box-to-box player who can play in the centre of midfield or wide on the left.
"He is also left footed which gives us good balance in the squad, he has a good presence and he'll also make improvements when he gets a run in the team.
"Like Richard Chaplow, he has a big future if he keeps his feet on the ground - he is a good investment for the club."
Carter has also expressed his contentment that the move has been completed and is now looking forward to the new campaign.
"I am really pleased to have got it all sorted out,'' said Carter.
''There were a few last-minute details to clear up, but now that it's all sorted I cannot wait to join the boys for pre-season and get ready for the new season."
Meanwhile, West Brom hope to further improve their playing ranks with the acquisition of Everton's Steve Watson.
The 31-year-old utility man has rejected a new one-year deal at Goodison Park and now appears to be heading for the Midlands.
Several clubs are thought to be keen on his signature but it does seem likely that he will pen a two-year contract at West Brom.
The Baggies are also rumoured to be interested in Stockport County's James Spencer.
