LAZOVIC SWITCH SIGNED AND SEALED  

Danko Lazovic will be playing for Bayer Leverkusen this season after the player agreed terms with the Bundesliga club. Feyenoord had already come to an agreement with the Germans. The wait was for the player to come to an understanding with his prospective wage-payer and Lazovic did so Thursday, when he also passed a medical. The player may make his Leverkusen debut coming Saturday, when his new club take on Rot Weiss Erfurt in the German cup.

Christanval and Tudor linked to Lazio

The Biancocelesti are looking at Frenchman Philippe Christanval to reinforce their defence, while Parma take Ferdinand Coly on trial.

Lazio are seeking a central defender to take over from Fernando Couto, whose contract has expired, and the number one target is former Barcelona and Monaco man Christanval. The player is a free agent and his wage demands are not too high for the club.

Other options for that role include Juve’s Croatian international Igor Tudor and Dutchman Andre Ooijer, who is out of contract following Genoa’s demotion to Serie C1.

Cedric van der Gun has earned a contract with German side Borussia Dortmund after a successful trial.

The 26-year-old forward spent several weeks training with the German side, who extended his trial to take a further look at him in action.

The former Ajax man has now impressed Dortmund boss Bert van Marwijk enough to earn a one-year contract.

Van der Gun was without a club after leaving Ajax, and spent the last two seasons on loan at ADO Den Haag.

His new deal with Dortmund is performance-related and his salary will increase as he plays more games for the Bundesliga outfit.

Former Fulham flop Steve Marlet has signed for Wolfsburg.

The French international has signed a one-year deal with the option of another at the German outfit.

Marlet has been looking for a new club after having his contract cancelled at Fulham earlier this summer.

The 31-year-old endured a miserable time at Fulham after arriving from Lyon in a club record deal of £11.5 million in August 2001.

Marlet spent the last two seasons on loan at Marseille, but the French club failed to make his move permanent.

Wolfsburg have offered Marlet the chance to get his career back on track and he is one of two new signings at the ambitious Bundesliga club, with Portuguese defender Alex also arriving from Benfica.

Alex has inked a four-year deal at the VW-Arena.

Wolfsburg manager Thomas Strunz was delighted to land the two new signings.

"Steve Marlet is very well known in international football, a player who is fast and versatile," said Strunz.

"Alex is less well known, despite being an international, but he is technically very good, like all Portuguese players, and has exactly the right qualities for a right-sided defender."

PSV Eindhoven have completed the signing of Arouna Kone from Roda JC Kerkrade.

The Dutch champions had been given a deadline of Wednesday to seal a deal for the Ivory Coast striker, after Roda became frustrated by the impasse in talks.

Roda were fearful of a reprise of last year when Kone agreed to join Ajax before the buyers pulled out, claiming the forward had a heart condition.

Subsequent tests proved that to be wrong and Kone has passed a medical to join PSV on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent arrangement.

PSV are believed to be paying €1 million (£700,000) to take Kone for this season, with the future fee not disclosed.

Kone is delighted to be moving to Philips Stadion and feels he is ready to grace the stage of a bigger club.

"I am very happy," said Kone at his unveiling. "For me, PSV are a fantastic club.

"They are one of the best teams in the Netherlands. After two seasons at Roda JC, I am ready to take this step."

Benfica had also been interested in the 21-year-old but lacked the funds to push through a deal for Kone, who has scored twice in two Eredivisie appearances this season.

Kone will not be eligible to play for PSV in the group phase of the UEFA Champions League, having appeared in the InterToto Cup for Roda, although he can play in Europe's premier club competition if his new club advance to the second round.
