Leeds United have signed Birmingham City striker Robbie Blake on a three-year deal.

The Whites have been negotiating for the 29-year-old for some time and have finally bagged their man following his six-month stint at St Andrews.

Leeds have paid around £800,000 plus add ons for the striker who scored two goals in 13 appearances for Steve Bruce's side.

With Blues securing Mikael Forssell's services permanently this summer Blake was pushed further down the pecking order with the Premiership outfit.

Blake netted 42 goals in 120 appearances for Burnley and his versatility has already been highlighted as a major plus by United manager Kevin Blackwell.

With Rob Hulse and Ian Moore currently on the sidelines, the arrival of Blake could not have come at a better time for promotion-chasing Leeds.

Arsenal defender Sebastian Svard has left Highbury to join Vitoria Guimaraes.

The 22-year-old struggled to break into the Arsenal side during his four years in North London.

Svard made just two starts and four appearances in all for Arsene Wenger's men.

The Danish defender spent a period on loan at Stoke and Brondby during his time at Arsenal.

It was thought he may join Guimaraes on a season-long loan deal, but Svard has joined the Portuguese club on a permanent basis.

歐拉斯表示雙方的談判仍然進行，而他們要求車路士出價3,200 萬鎊收購艾辛。

歐拉斯表示艾辛為歐洲最佳中場之一，故此車路士應付出像收購謝拉特一樣的價格才能把艾辛帶到車路士。

車路士領隊摩連奴表示陣容上仍有一個空缺，他希望艾辛能夠填補該空缺。

艾辛表示希望離開里昂加盟車路士，而里昂方面亦正待價而沽。

相信摩連奴在成功收購胡禮菲臘斯後，將會在季前希望成功斟介艾辛，完成組軍工作。

Newcastle United have completed the capture of Dutch starlet Tim Krul.

The Magpies have snapped up the 17-year-old keeper on a free transfer, as he had not penned professional terms with ADO Den Haag.

Krul, who helped Holland to the final of this year's Euro Under-17 Championship in May, has signed a three-year deal at St James' Park.

The youngster has revealed he always wanted to play in The Premiership after following the league closely growing up in Holland.

"I'm very happy; it's a fantastic move for me," explained Krul to the club's official website. "To play in England has always been a dream.

"When I was a young boy I always used to say I wanted to come and play in England, because The Premiership is very popular in Holland.

"I have been looking around St James' Park and it is a very beautiful stadium. There are so many great players at Newcastle."

ISP Exclusive: Portsmouth In For Kabi
Iran Sports Press - It has come to ISP's attention that English Premier League side Portsmouth are in ongoing contact with Hossein Kabi's club Foolad Khuzestan in order to complete a deal to bring the young Iranian international to England.

Talks have not reached a stage where terms can be discussed with the Iranian himself, but are at a preliminary stage. A fee has already been discussed but it is believed that the two clubs have different valuations of the player in mind. Kabi's contract with Foolad expires in June 2006.

Portsmouth intend to have a first hand look at Kabi, 19, when Iran plays Portsmouth in a friendly match at Fratton Park on August 6. Kaabi had been linked with Tottenham Hotspur, and Aston Villa recently by the Iranian and British press.

However, it is believed that Bolton Wanderers are also closely monitoring the situation, despite Kabi's proclamation last week that he would stay at Foolad to see out the remaining year of his contract.

Manchester City have completed the signing of Andy Cole.

The former England striker has penned a two-year deal at The City of Manchester Stadium.

Cole, who turns 34 in October, had his medical earlier this week, but now the formalities have been concluded.

City boss Stuart Pearce targeted the Fulham striker after selling Jon Macken to Crystal Palace and he beat Blackburn Rovers to his signature.

Fulham allowed Cole to leave on a free transfer, despite having a year left on his contract at Craven Cottage.

"Andy has played 100 games in the last three years and was sixth or seventh top goalscorer last season when Fulham struggled," said City boss Stuart Pearce.

"He has a top-class pedigree and I know our younger players can learn from him."

Luis Boa Morte's future is likely to be resolved one way or another this week, according to his agent Amadeu Paixao.

The Fulham forward's representative spoke to skysports.com after the Portugal international was linked with a move to Middlesbrough in his homeland's press.

Newcastle United have led the chase for Boa Morte for some time but chairman Freddy Shepherd is reported to be prioritising other targets at the moment.

"We need a swift solution to this subject but Luis wants to be calm for the season," explained Paixao to skysports.com.

"The decision depends finally on Fulham but I think that everything can be sorted out this week."

Paixao believes there is little prospect of his client heading for Portugal despite reported interest from Lisbon giants Sporting.

"Boa Morte is happy in England and has now decided not to change country," confirmed the agent.

Robins talking to Bridges

Bristol City have confirmed they are in talks with former Sunderland striker Michael Bridges.

The Ashton Gate club had announced they were talking to a striker of Premiership quality, which has turned out to be Bridges.

The 26-year-old is looking for a new club after being released by The Black Cats at the end of last season.

The injury-prone former Leeds United and Bolton Wanderers hit-man has been told he can leave on a free transfer, despite having a year left on his contract at The Stadium of Light.

Bradford City and Derby County have considered the former England Under-21 international as a potential target, but Robins boss Brian Tinnion is hopeful Bridges will agree to a move to the West Country club.

"While Michael has had some bad injuries, you are talking about two years ago or more," Tinnion told the club's official website.

"We would obviously want him to undergo a stringent medical. But he is a quality player and if everything is okay on the fitness front, he could be a very big signing for us.

"Michael is desperate to prove himself again and has the talent to do so."
