Royals agree fee for Wolves star

Newly-promoted Reading have agreed a fee with Wolves for South Korea international midfielder Seol Ki-hyeon.

The Royals will pay an initial £1 million for the 27-year-old's services, although the fee could rise up to £1.5 million depending on appearances.

Seol had been on international duty in this summer's World Cup, although South Korea could not make it past the group stage in Germany.

The former Royal Antwerp and Anderlecht man has spent the last two seasons with Wolves, but is now set for a crack at top-flight football in England.

Reading director of football Nick Hammond is delighted a fee has been agreed and believes Seol's experience makes him a quality addition.

"We are extremely pleased to have reached an agreement with Wolves and are confident that the remaining details can be tied up soon," Hammond told the club's official website.

"Seol is an extremely talented performer of proven international calibre, having recently appeared in the World Cup.

"He also has top flight experience in Europe from his time at Anderlecht, and he will be a valuable addition for us."

Boro confirm Doriva departure

Middlesbrough have confirmed Doriva has left the club.

The Brazilian has departed after not being offered a new deal at The Riverside.

The 34-year-old made over 100 appearances for Middlesbrough after arriving from Celta Vigo in 2003.

New Boro boss Gareth Southgate paid tribute to the midfielder for his impact at the club.

"It was another difficult decision - he has been a fabulous guy to work with for the last three-and-a-half years," Southgate told the club's official website.

"He is a real gentleman and was always very popular among his team-mates."

Doriva follows Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink out of the exit door at Boro and Southgate will now switch his attentions to bringing in new signings.

Southgate admitted the club were in talks with several sides about players he hoped to sign.

"We are talking to several clubs about players we are interested in," added Southgate.

"There are decisions to be made all the time, but I won't be rushed into any [signings].

"I have to ensure they are right in the long-term, not just for the short-term.

"Of course, I want to strengthen the squad and we would prefer that to be sooner rather than later.

"I want good players. We have got a very good squad with plenty of back-up for the first 11, so I'm not looking to bring in back-up type players.

"I'm looking for players that will actually improve us as a team."

　　李鐵將是謝聯新賽季前引進的第五名球員，此前他們已經與雷格特伍德、索梅爾、內德和戴維斯簽約，後者也在今天拿到了勞工證。

Wigan's £5.5m Heskey bid accepted
Wigan are set to break their transfer record after a £5.5m bid for Birmingham striker Emile Heskey was accepted.
A statement on Blues' website confirmed the offer had been agreed for the 28-year-old former England player, who is now discussing personal terms.
Wigan manager Paul Jewell also inquired about signing Robbie Savage, 31, from Blackburn but was told the Wales midfielder was not for sale.
Jewell said the club were targeting "top Premiership performers".
Wigan are desperate to land a proven striker after selling Jason Roberts to Blackburn for £3m and missing out in the chase for Andrew Johnson, who joined Everton from Crystal Palace in May.
Their previous record transfer fee was the £3.1m paid to Wolves for Henri Camara last summer.
Jewell said: "Emile is a proven performer at Premiership and international level and we have made what we consider to be a very good offer to Birmingham City.
"It is not normal for this club to comment on targets until the player has signed but in this instance it's an open secret that we've made the bid.
"I think he's a player who could do very well for us but we'll see how the situation develops.
"I'm still very confident we will get the five or six new players we want by the beginning of the season."

Mido 'turns down Blackburn bid'
Roma striker Mido has rejected a move to Blackburn Rovers, according to reports in Italy.
Blackburn apparently had a £3m bid for the 23-year-old Egyptian international accepted but the player opted to stay with the Serie A club.
Mido, who had an 18-month loan spell at Tottenham, is quoted as saying: "I am not interested in Blackburn.
"I want to remain at Roma and prove that I can help this team go on to achieve success."
Mido made 28 starts for Tottenham but left the club to return to Roma after his loan spell ended.
The frontman was hampered by groin and knee injuries in the latter stages of the season after an impressive start at White Hart Lane.

U's defender Michael Morrison could be bound for the Premiership with Newcastle United.
The 18-year-old centre-half has spent the last eight days on trial with the Magpies and the feedback from their coaching staff is that he is "more than holding his own", according to Rob Newman.
After becoming the youngest-ever player for the U's reserves as a 15-year-old schoolboy, 'Morro' broke into the first team picture this time last year.
He featured extensively in the first team pre-season friendlies and demonstrated a cool head beyond his years, and in October 2005 he was rewarded with a pro contract to 2008 and made his LDV, FA Cup and Conference debut appearances in three consecutive games.
A fixture in the squad ever since, the teenager attracted attention from Everton and Preston and trained with both clubs last season, and his current trial with Newcastle will culminate in a trial game for them at the weekend.
"I will know after that if they want to take it further, and if not he's been asked to go to another Premiership club next week for them to look at him," added Newman.
If successful, Morrison would follow former teammate John Ruddy into the Premiership. The goalkeeper joined Everton a year ago and made his Premiership debut from the bench in February when Iain Turner was sent off for the Toffees
